This role is a really unique opportunity to help us continue to improve/strengthen how we use our people data to figure out and focus on the key people challenges we should solve for in the future.

Key Details

Office: London, UK

Salary range: £70,000.00 – £90,000.00 annually gross* in London // €3,590 – €4,520 monthly gross* in Tallinn based on experience and interview outcomes

People Analytics Lead

We’re on the look out for a talented People Analytics Lead to join our growing People team based in either London or Tallinn. TransferWise is growing fast, with over 400 new joiners quarterly and 2200 employees spread across the globe, so there’s a TON of data to play with. This role is a really unique opportunity to help us continue to improve/strengthen how we use our people data to figure out and focus on the key people challenges we should solve for in the future. 

You’ll report to the Head of Analytics and will work very closely with the Chief People Officer as well as People Leads and the People Team globally. You’ll lead a small team of passionate analysts who have been working to provide data both inside and outside the People team to measure impact, make better decisions, spot trends and form plans around them. There is a significant amount of unchartered territory, so this will suit someone who likes to roll their sleeves up as much as lead.

Problems you’ll solve in this role:

  • Develop, coach and support a talented people analytics team that has global reach 
  • Refine our vision and plan to shape how our people / HR analytics and reporting infrastructure will look like as we rocket from a 2200—> 5000 employee sized company
  • Enhance our people data reporting + insights offer for all leads to help them make more informed people decisions across our existing employee experience journey: hiring forecasting, engagement, ongoing experience feedback surveys. 
  • Champion, promote and build credibility of people data across TransferWise leads and wisers. 
  • Help the entire people team to address the most important topics for TransferWise using data and insights, building relevant KPIs to measure impact 
  • Partner closely with our people technology team to shape how we optimise reporting, data and insights using Workday
  • Build a framework + tools for exploratory and explanatory analytics as well as initial predictive analytics modelling to help leaders / leads to better understand root causes of people challenges. 
  • Contribute to the TransferWise overall Analytics team strategy and tactical plans.

  • Use all your experience and skills to bring new thinking and ideas to how we go from basic data reporting –> insights –> statistical modelling –>predictive analytics
  • Build, coach and grow a global team who will help the people team and leads understand their people better through automated data processes and clear insights

 

A bit about you: 

  • Built and owned HR or people based data analytics, MI and insights work in fast-paced, scaling, global companies
  • Led, developed and grown a team of people analysts who make the complex simple by building and telling stories with your data
  • Hands-on data manipulation and analysis experience including scripting/coding (and coaching others) in SQL and Python (or R)
  • Created and run integrations with HR systems and other analytical tools including data warehouse platforms like Snowflake, standalone systems like Workday or Greenhouse and visualisation tools like Looker.
  • Developed and implemented work across entire company scope with a problem focused, product led approach – using MVP lens to iterate and make your work better over time
  • Co-owned people team wide projects or products, helping to bring teams together to plan around problems with KPIs that make a difference
  • Would be awesome if you've practically used + applied AI / machine learning techniques to get deeper insight.

  • Working in partnership – you’ll work with your people team peers and leads across TransferWise,  so you’ll love being super collaborative in your approach
  • Creative problem solving – we’re not a ‘one size fits all’ company and we’re not looking for off the shelf solutions; we need you to think creatively to help us find good solutions to problems that can also scale.
  • Simplifying the complex you’ll have a superpower at taking non technical colleagues on the journey to understand people data better, identifying trends + correlations to help them make better decisions.
