Financial benefits and discounts
Stock options: We offer everyone who works for us stock options as we’re building TransferWise together and want you to share in the success of our $5billion company on a mission.
Travel insurance on business trips: Whenever you’re going on a business trip, your health and luggage will be covered by our insurance provider.
Personal development: There’s no shortage of learning opportunities at TransferWise and it’s up to you to choose where you want to develop your skills. That’s why all our employees have a dedicated yearly allowance to boost their professional development.
401(k): You can start saving towards your retirement with our 401(k) plan where TransferWise will match 100% of your contributions from 1-3% and 50% of your contributions from 4-5%.
Commuter benefit: You can enroll in a Commuter FSA that will set aside tax-free funds from your paycheck that can be used towards eligible commuter transit.
Taking care of your family
Parental leave: You’ll be eligible for parental leave after a year of employment with us. This will provide you with 16 weeks of 100% paid parental leave upon the birth or adoption of your new family member.
Health and wellbeing
Employee Assistance Programme: Our assistance programme provides 24/7 expert guidance and specialist support on any issue, from everyday matters to more serious problems that affect our employee’s wellbeing. Available online, over the phone and face to face, it’s free for all employees and confidential.
Annual leave: All our employees get 25 days off per year.
Paid sabbatical: To reward the time and effort you’ll put into TransferWise after 4 years working here, you’ll have the option to take 6-weeks paid time off and £1,000 financial support in addition to your annual leave.
Short and long-term disability coverage: TransferWise will provide you with paid short-term and long-term disability coverage.
Health plan benefits: If you’re a full-time employee, you’re eligible to enroll in insurance coverage within your first 30 days of employment. The coverage options include but are not limited to medical, dental, vision and supplementary coverage.
Paid sick leave: You’ll accrue 3.08 hours of sick leave per pay period on a biweekly basis.
Life insurance: We’ll provide you with $75,000 paid Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage.
Flexible working: We offer a hybrid way of working to our Employees. Simply put, hybrid means the flexibility to work from offices, from home or occasionally, remotely.
Volunteer day off: All full-time, active New York employees are provided 8 hours of Volunteer Time on an annual basis. You have the opportunity to contribute towards local community and/or philanthropic activities through a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Paid bank holidays: You’ll get 10 paid bank holidays per year.
A home away from home
Food and drinks: There’s a fully stocked fridge with refreshments and we host weekly team lunch, Fika get togethers, potluck lunches and team nights.
Social events and paid company trip: We arrange various local company events throughout the year, as well as coming together for larger gatherings with our colleagues around the world, for example, Mission Days. Every year, we take all our employees on a paid company trip. The goal is to bring everyone together, have fun, align on our goals and celebrate our mission.
Games: There’s a relaxation space in the office for you to unwind. You can also take part in our regular video game tournaments.
Dogs: We’re a dog friendly company. You’re welcome to bring your well behaved friends to the office or pet the ones brought in by our colleagues.
